About Mexican Handpainted Talavera Tiles
Handmade in Mexico.
From 1656, when Spanish craftsmen from Talavera de la Reina landed in Mexico, Mexican artisans began producing Talavera pottery and tiles. Since then, these vibrant hand-painted tiles have graced the colonial cities of Mexico.
Today, Talavera tiles adorn homes, offices, plazas, hotels, and restaurants—blending Spanish, Moorish & Mediterranean influences.
Our tiles are unique, handmade & hand-painted. Over time you may see “crazing” (fine glaze cracks) and subtle colour variances—this is part of their natural charm!
