The Journey
It all began with a chance meeting almost 30 years ago between Des Armstrong and a traveller from Mexico. Armed with her expertise in marketing, advertising and business operations, Des detected a market niche: And so the Hadeda journey evolved. Hadeda started in 1991 in Dunkeld and went full circle into their new home again in Dunkeld at 40 Bompas Road.
Des travels to some of the most remote regions of Mexico, Peru and Guatemala in search of new designs, craft and beautiful objects, which she hand-picks for the flagship Hadeda store in Johannesburg. Des started introducing bright colours into décor in South Africa with all the exciting items she imported from South and Central America. Today we love colour in décor.
And this is the next phase: Hadeda’s beautiful encaustic and Mexican tiles that any homeowner would love to incorporate into their home. Hadeda still also offer bespoke craft, homeware, furnishing, accessories, fabric from Mexico and decor items, all available to view on Hadeda website. Hadeda delivers all over the country.
We invite you to share our journey with us.
